Airport to the University of Stirling
A pre-booked car from Edinburgh or Glasgow Airport straight to campus accommodation — booked ahead by students or their parents, with one fare per car that friends can share.
Standard car, one way, for up to four people sharing.
Arriving for the start of term
The university's Airthrey campus sits between Stirling and Bridge of Allan. Edinburgh Airport is usually 40–50 minutes away by car and Glasgow about an hour, while public transport means a coach or train and a local bus with all your luggage.
A booked car takes you from the arrivals hall to your accommodation door. Share it with friends on the same flight and the fare is split.
What to send us
- Flight number and landing time
- The student's name and a mobile number that works in the UK
- Accommodation name or campus address
- How many cases — moving in usually means more than a holiday
Our guide to getting from the airport to campus compares every option.
Questions from students and parents
Can parents book the transfer from abroad?
Yes. Send the request with the student's name, mobile number and flight number, and add your own email so you get the confirmation too — mention it in the notes.
What if the flight is delayed?
We follow the flight number you give us and time the pick-up to the actual landing, so a delay doesn't cost extra.
Where will the driver meet the student?
In the arrivals hall, holding a name board, then we help with bags to the car.
How much luggage fits?
A standard car takes two large cases and two small bags. Moving in with more? Choose '3–4 large cases' in the request and we'll send an estate car or people carrier.
Can friends arriving on the same flight share?
Yes. The fare is per car, not per person, so sharing with other new students is the cheapest way to travel.
