No. Stirling doesn't have a commercial airport, so there are no passenger flights from the city itself. The nearest airports are Edinburgh, about 30 miles away and usually 30 to 55 minutes by car, and Glasgow, about 35 miles away and usually 40 minutes to just over an hour.
Those two cover most trips from Stirling. Glasgow Prestwick, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness are also within driving distance, and now and then one of them has the flight or fare you want.
You may also come across Cumbernauld Airport, south of Stirling, but it is used for flying lessons and private and business flying rather than airline services.

Edinburgh Airport
Edinburgh is usually the first choice from Stirling. The airport is just off the M9 and the drive is about 30 miles. Before 06:00 it typically takes 30 to 40 minutes; in the weekday morning rush, allow up to 55.
It is also the busiest airport in Scotland. In 2025 it handled almost 17 million passengers, a first for any Scottish airport, and its routes include long-haul services to North America and China as well as UK and European flights.
Without a car, the Citylink 909 coach runs from Stirling bus station to the airport in about an hour, or you can take the train to Edinburgh Park and change to the tram. If you would rather go door to door, there are fixed-price transfers from Stirling to Edinburgh Airport.
Glasgow Airport
Glasgow Airport is about 35 miles from Stirling via the M80 and M8. Early in the morning the drive typically takes 40 to 50 minutes, but traffic through Glasgow can stretch it to 1 hour 10 minutes in the morning peak and longer in the evening.
It has a wide mix of UK, European and holiday flights, plus some long-haul routes, so it is worth checking alongside Edinburgh when you search for flights.
By public transport, take the train to Glasgow Queen Street and then the Glasgow Airport Express 500 bus, which runs 24 hours a day. If you would rather not change, see the transfers from Stirling to Glasgow Airport.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport
Prestwick is about 60 miles away in Ayrshire, via the M80 and M77. Its flights are mainly holiday routes to places such as Alicante, Malaga, Tenerife, Faro and Pisa. It earns its place on the list when the flight you want only goes from there.
It is the only airport in Scotland with its own railway station and a covered walkway into the terminal.
Dundee Airport
Dundee is about 54 miles from Stirling, roughly an hour via the A9 and A90. It is a small airport, and at the time of writing (September 2026) its scheduled flights are run by Loganair.
Loganair has announced that its Dundee to London Heathrow service will end after 23 October 2026 and that its Dundee base will close. As it is the only airline at the airport, check what is still operating before planning a trip around Dundee.
Aberdeen and Inverness airports
Aberdeen is about 120 miles away, a drive of 2 hours 15 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. It serves north-east Scotland with UK and European flights, including routes to Scandinavia and to Orkney and Shetland, and it also handles offshore flights for the energy industry.
Inverness is about 150 miles north on the A9, around 3 hours by car. It links the Highlands with London and other UK cities, the Scottish islands and Amsterdam, which makes it useful when a trip starts or ends in the north.
Which airport makes sense from Stirling
For most people the choice is between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Off-peak the drives are within about 10 minutes of each other, so compare flight times and fares at both. Then think about when you will be on the road: Glasgow is the slower and less predictable drive in the morning and evening rush.
The longer drives to Prestwick, Aberdeen and Inverness only pay off when the route or the saving justifies the extra hours. If you are weighing up the cost of getting there, you can compare fixed transfer fares from Stirling.
